1. Introduction 12.6.3 to the website
This website is a companion to the volume A Critique of Archaeological Reason (CAR), to be published in 2016 by Cambridge University Press.
The website provides a full documentary basis for the argument presented in essay form in the book itself, and expands on specific themes and aspects dealt within the book. At the same time, it serves as a example for the concept of digital thought that is described in the book.
In addition, the website is also meant to serve as a dynamic and flexible tool for future research in this area. As such, it offers a
venue for the scholarly publication of data and ideas regarding archaeological theory.
Before publication of the book, the website is accessible through password only. Upon publication, expected in November 2016, it will remain active as an open access website.
